GOOD QUESTIONS
How the estimate works.
What rate are you comparing against?+
Whichever processor you pick, at their published card rate — the same figures we use on our individual fee calculators. If you are on a negotiated rate, choose Other and enter it; the estimate is only as good as the number you give it.
Why don't you show me your rate?+
Because a rate on its own is not a quote. What you actually pay depends on your card mix, your average ticket, your volume and your risk profile, and we would rather show you the figure that matters than a headline number you would have to unpick. Schedule a call and you will get the real one.
What counts as monetizing payments?+
Taking a cut of what your merchants process, on top of whatever you charge for your software. If your merchants pay a payments provider directly and you see none of it, you are not monetizing payments yet — which is the case the second path is built for.
Does the platform estimate assume we pay our merchants' processing fees?+
No. A platform prices payments on top of what they cost and keeps the spread; it does not absorb its merchants' fees. The revenue figure is that spread across your volume, which is why it holds up when somebody checks it.
How accurate is this?+
It is an estimate, not a quote. It covers card processing and the markup you set, and excludes international cards, disputes, and the add-ons on both sides. For most businesses it lands close; for anyone with an unusual card mix it is a starting point for a conversation.
What happens to my numbers?+
Nothing, unless you ask for your results. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. If you enter your email we store your answers alongside the estimate so we can send you a summary and pick the conversation up where you left it.
